Terms of Service

Canvas Companion is a software service that lets individual students securely use supported AI assistants to view courses, assignments, and files and submit assignments through their own Canvas account. By using Canvas Companion, you agree to these terms.

Eligibility and acceptable use

You must be able to enter a binding agreement and must use an account and Canvas access you are authorized to use. You are responsible for following your school's academic integrity, technology, and submission policies. Do not misuse the service, bypass access controls, interfere with its operation, or use it to access another person's information.

Cancellation and deletion

Canvas Companion automatically renews each month until canceled. Taxes, if applicable, are shown at checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe and its affiliated payment services under the purchaser terms shown at checkout.

You can manage or cancel the subscription through the Stripe customer portal from your Canvas Companion account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period, and access continues until then. Deleting your Canvas Companion account cancels the subscription immediately and removes access; it does not create a prorated refund. The Cancellation and Refund Policy is part of these terms.

Service availability

The service depends on Canvas, supported AI assistants, and other providers. Features may change or become unavailable. Review important information and every assignment submission yourself. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided without warranties and liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service during the three months before the claim.

Termination and changes

Access may be suspended for misuse, security risk, nonpayment, or legal requirements. Material changes to these terms will be posted here with a new effective date. Continued use after the new effective date means you accept the updated terms.
